Hamburger Hochbahn AG is the largest public transport company in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. It operates Hamburg’s subway system and a large part of the city bus network within the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV).
As a publicly owned company, Hochbahn operates according to private-sector principles and is responsible for the daily mobility of around 1.2 million passengers. With more than 6,600 employees, it stands for efficient, reliable, and future-oriented public transport in a growing metropolitan region.
