A design system is an essential tool in both corporate design and packaging design for communicating content in a structured way and with global consistency.

Packaging design for anniversary communication:
For the communication of anniversaries, we developed a packaging design that follows the corporate design and can be applied worldwide across multiple design lines and numerous items. The scalable design system can be adapted reliably to a wide range of formats, media, and materials. It ensures a distinctive brand presence on packaging—both at the point of sale and at the point of use.

In Würth shops, sales displays are used in addition to shelf presentations. Our modular design system can be applied easily and reliably across numerous variants.
Design system for sales displays:
Sales displays are designed to attract attention from a distance at the point of sale, alongside the shelves and the offers. We developed a design system that can be applied easily and reliably to many different display types and changing promotions. The system ensures consistent brand leadership while providing sufficient freedom and flexibility.

Clear differentiation between shops and corporate premises helps avoid unnecessary routes. To make Würth shops easier to find, we redesigned the wayfinding.

Design system for wayfinding:
In architecture, a building can be strongly branded with a large logo. At Würth, however, it is necessary to visually differentiate administrative buildings and shops worldwide. To avoid unnecessary travel, differentiation is needed from as far away as possible. The brand color red is used not only as a distinctive signal for signage, but also to mark entrances. Especially for buildings that are not company-owned and freestanding but rented and integrated into street rows, the red-framed entrance increases visibility and guides people to the destination more quickly.

Design systems also help in form design by structuring information in a meaningful and clear way. For Würth, we developed form design for numerous applications.

Design system for forms:
Based on the corporate design, we revised Würth’s design specifications for forms. The design system was developed modularly so it can be used easily and consistently for the different requirements of financial communication.
